Welcome!
We're glad you're here.
Whether you are brand new to the church thing or you’ve been around church for a while; we want to say welcome! Our goal is to create environments and experiences where you can encounter God in the midst of your life. When you worship with us on a weekend, our aim is that you would be inspired by the music, encouraged by the message, welcomed by our supporting community of people and be reminded that God’s grace is here!

Hello and Welcome to the Evansville United Methodist Church!
At this time, I would like to introduce myself and share my family with you. I started my ministry September 1st, 2017, as a Lay Supply Pastor, ½ time with the Blue River and Avoca UMCs. In May of 2018, I attended and completed Licensing School in Dubuque, which allowed me to officiate over Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. With completing Licensing School, I am now considered a Licensed Local Pastor.
On July 2021, I was reappointed to the Community of Christ UMC in Darien Wi, as a ½ time L.L.P., I served in Darien for 1 year before being reappointed to Evansville UMC as a full-time L.L.P.
After serving 1 year as full time, it was decided that it would work best to yoke with the Edgerton UMC.
Since October 1st, 2022, I have been appointed to Evansville UMC ½ time and Edgerton UMC ½ time. I am excited that we can do ministry together and separate. Both churches are blessed to be able to continue with our visions into the future.
Now for some personal information. My wife and I were born and raised in Janesville, WI. We were classmates at Craig H.S. and graduated together in 1983. In 1986, we were married at Cargill UMC in Janesville, where Brenda’s family were generational members.
Our son was born in 1989 and our daughter was born in 1991. It is truly amazing to see the adults that they have become. We are very proud of them!
My son is a counselor, who works with troubled children and youth. His wife works at their local hospital in health care. They have two children, a daughter, and a son. Both are growing up so fast.
Our daughter is a Deacon in the United Methodist denomination. Her husband is disabled and works as he can.
Brenda and I are blessed to be serving the communities of Beloit, Evansville and Edgerton, which are close to our parents.
Ministry is a second career for me. After owning and driving truck for over 32 years, I finally allowed God’s messages to stick.
Maybe, you are avoiding God’s calling in your life. Maybe, your life is missing something. Maybe, God’s plan for you will change your life forever!
May God Bless You Always,
Pastor Dan Whitford
